5 Reasons To Book A Pre-Wedding Shoot With Your Wedding Photographer

Wedding photographers all over the world are embracing a new wedding photography trend, the pre wedding shoot. Many are offering a short photo shoot in the months leading up to the wedding, so that they can get to know the bridal couple and find a style that suits them. The shoot may be included in the wedding photography package or it may be an optional extra depending on the wedding photographer.

1. Get used to being in front of the camera
Pre-wedding shoots are usually fun, relaxed and informal. They give a chance for the couple to get used to being in front of the camera, to play around a bit and have some fun. There's nothing like a stress-free rehearsal to make it easier on the big day itself, when the lens will be focussed on the bride as the star of the show.

2. Get to know your wedding photographer
Pre-wedding shoots give you a chance to get to know your wedding photographer and for them to get to know you, your style, your likes and dislikes, so that on the day itself everything goes smoothly. Building a rapport with your photographer makes it easier for him or her to get those relaxed and spontaneous photos that capture the emotion and essence of your wedding day.

3. Get some great portraits as a couple
You don't often take the time to get professional portraits taken as a couple. The pre-wedding shoot offers a wonderful chance to get some informal portraits of you together in a location of your choice. Usually the wedding photographer and the couple will choose a location within easy distance, but after that anything goes. Edgy urban or picturesque rural, dramatic mountains or romantic sea-shore, you could set your shoot anywhere you like, even the local park or at home in the garden.

4. Try out styling ideas for your wedding
Talk to your photographer about styling for your pre-wedding shoot. This could be an ideal opportunity for a rehearsal session to try out ideas with your make-up artist or stylist if you have plenty of time to spare before the shoot. However beware of getting over-complicated at this stage, as the emphasis should be on having a fun, relaxed time together in front of the camera.

5. Pre-wedding shoots are often part of the package so come at no extra cost
Quite a few photographers offer the pre-wedding shoot as part of the wedding package, so it costs you nothing to do. You don't have to order prints from this shoot unless you really want to, and it is the printing that costs. What you do with the photos from your shoot is up to you. You could post them on Facebook or put them on your wedding website, if you have one, to share with your friends and family. Or you could select a few images to add to your wedding album or photobook. Even when a pre-wedding shoot isn't included in the wedding package, photographers will usually be happy to charge a very reasonable rate for a weekday shoot, if you are booking them for your wedding.

After your pre-wedding photo shoot you and your wedding photographer will have had a chance to get to know each other and can define the style that will be right for you on your wedding day.

Pre-Wedding Photography Session

Why is a pre-wedding session important?

When looking for a wedding photographer, you will likely notice that most photographers offer such a session, usually included with their wedding packages. To some couples, this probably seems like a waste of time and money; just one more thing to get done before your big day. This is really the wrong way to think about it.

A pre-wedding session is very important for both the couple and the photographer.

Firstly, it allows time in a relaxed environment (relative to the wedding day) to get to know each other. This enables the photographer to be able to understand what the couple wants in their wedding photos and more importantly helps to increase the likelihood that they will catch those special moments that someone unfamiliar with the couple might overlook. The couple also has the chance to get used to the photographer (and their camera), so that on the wedding day everything will feel much more comfortable and natural.

Secondly, it provides you with a 'preview' of your photographer. If the first time you see your photographer at work is on your wedding day and they are unpunctual, disorganized or unprepared, it is really too late to change your mind and find a replacement.

Finally, the couple should not look at this session as one more task to be completed, but as an allotted time to just relax and spend some time enjoying each other's company. It is a great time to be spontaneous and maybe even a little silly. Your photographer should be able to capture you being yourselves with each other. After all, it is those natural moments that you will be expecting you photographer to catch on your wedding day, not posed shots. It should be something fun and who knows, you might even get some wonderful pictures from it.

If your wedding photographer does not offer a pre-wedding session as part of their wedding packages, it is probably worth asking them why. Some photographers might not feel the need for it, or they may see it as extra work, requiring extra money to make it worth doing it. This does not necessarily say something negative about the photographer, but it is just one more bit of information you can use to help pick the photographer that is just right for you. Be sure that if you hire a wedding photographer who you are not going to get to see at work until your big day, that you are sure to double check photos from their previous weddings and to read comments from those couples. If you have the option, however, be sure and get that first person experience before your wedding day.Aneta Grochowska Photography

Importance of Pre-Wedding Photo Shoot

Talking of weddings, you can picture in mind a very special day for couples in love. You may be imagining a day when your fairy tale dream comes true. You think of it as an event where couples are the main actor and actress. In making this dream a reality, lots of preparation needs to be done. In attending into the details for the big day, make sure that pre-wedding photography is a part of it.

Pre-nuptial photo shoot is mostly a part of the wedding photographers' package. This can be done at a venue of the couples' choice, either indoor or outdoor. Here are some reasons why a pre-wedding photo shoot is a need.

• Knowing your wedding photographer well. This gives the couple a chance to know more about the wedding photographer. It will make the couple and the photographer more comfortable with each other as you spend more time together on the wedding day.

• Exchange ideas. You can tell the photographer what you like and dislike. This way, the photographer will know what to do and when to take action on your "big day".

• Experience how your photographer works. Through this, you get to know how your photographer works. If you like it, you made the good choice. If you don't, you still have enough time to look for a better photographer.

• Get photos of natural looking couple. This is your chance of taking pictures where you will look naturally beautiful and not as bride and groom. Do it in a more relaxed and informal setting than the wedding venue.

• Can be used for wedding invitations. You can choose a picture from your pre-wedding photos that you can use for your invitations. Not only that, use it also on other wedding details where you can use your photos especially for a slide show at the reception.

Doing pre-wedding shoots are fun. Set it on a weekday as wedding photographers are busy on weekends. You can do it anywhere you want, much better if you can have it at your planned venue. This will also help you get to look at the details of the wedding venue. Last but not the least; never forget to sign a contract between you and the wedding photographer. Read carefully before signing to avoid misunderstanding and future problem with your photographer. Don't hesitate to ask questions on terms that are not clear to you.

Beauty Tips - Pre Wedding Spa Treatments That Will Make Your Wedding Day Memorable

A person's wedding day can be the most important day in their life. This will be a day that a person will remember for their entire life. Some people's memory might be fuzzy from champagne, but photos do not drink and last forever. That is why it is important to focus in on the beauty details. To do this you will need to plan out your week prior to the wedding day. This article will help in showing what, when, and how to make the week before your wedding a busy but self indulging experience.

The first thing to do is to decide what details is the most important to cover. Body wraps at a spa will take a day, but certain skin treatments might take up to a week or longer. That is why it is important to plan out your beautification. One should ask themselves, "what are the trouble spots?" Making a list will help out when it comes time to plan your week.

Our team at The Beauty Wrap has found that many people, especially women, are concerned with their skin. Blemishes can take some time to get rid of. You will want to start your blemish treatments at least a week prior to the wedding. Blemishes are not the only concern one has for their skin. Many women want soft skin on their wedding day. Lotions don't always work and provide very short remedies. One option is to get a body wrap that uses shea butter and thick lotions. Unlike smothering your skin with these, a body wrap will infuse one's skin with these materials. This will help ensure one's skin will stay silky soft all the way through the honeymoon.

Body wraps can also help get rid of toxins in the body. People often feel healthier when they rid their body of toxins. A person will want to have a wrap done with seaweed, algae, or mud and clay. These treatments work best with an exfoliation using a dry brush or salt scrub first. This will open the skin's pores to retain the natural chemicals to stimulate your metabolism and release toxins. This will ensure one's health on their most important day.

Tanning beds are passé in today's age, because of all the long term side effects. Also one might take the risk of being shrimp red on the big day. The answer is to get a spray tan the day prior to the wedding day. Spray tans have evolved since the 90s. The orange coloring that once plagued the market is now gone. Look for products that leave a natural tan look, and ones that don't cause streaking. Spas often have employees that are trained to do tan airbrushing. During your spa day you can get this done after a relaxing massage.

The day prior to the wedding a full spa day will help in receiving all these products. A body wrap is best done at a span with a massage therapist. A massage therapist is knowledgeable in how to give a massage, and one will find this soothing as they are getting body wrap treatments applied. This will also give a bride or a groom the chance to relax while they are getting a hot stone massage to a full body wrap.

Of course a spa might be out of someone's budget, especially after investing all the money into a wedding. Many companies offer these treatments at home. From acne medicine from ProActive to body wraps by The Beauty Wrap, you can manage to get spa quality treatments done at home.
